Golden Valley Medical - Windsor offers same day appointments for acute care. Patients can usually be seen the same day for flu symptoms, earache, sore throat, etc. Please call (660) 647-2147 to schedule an appointment. Monday evenings the clinic is open from 5-7 pm, for acute care, with appointment. *New - Beginning in June, Katie Terry, a Nurse Practitioner at the Clinton location, will be available for acute care for walk-ins on Saturdays from 9-3.

City of Windsor is preparing a grant application for rain barrels and compost barrels, anyone that would be interested in receiving one, please let Sandra Underwood at City Hall (660-647-3512) know. Rain barrels are 55 gallon, and compost barrels are (33" H x 31" W).

10th Annual Kids Fishing Derby
Date: Saturday, June 8
Time: Registration begins at 8 a.m.
Location: Farrington Park, register at the mail shelter house
Details: Free fishing. Ages 4-15 are invited, under 9 must be accompanied by an adult. Don't worry is the child does not have a pole, the Missouri Conservation Department will have a few available. Minnows and worms are provided by Bud's Wholesale Bait. Minnow buckets will be available for purchase. The first 150 who register will receive a bag of fishing related surprises. After fishing, the Masons and Odd Fellows will have deep fried fish and potatoes for the kids to try. Yummy! If the kids do not want to keep their catches, they may catch and release.

The home cooked meal is $7.50 and can be paid at the meeting. Treasurer Connie Fosnow, of TH Rogers Lumber, collects the payment. The meeting begins at noon each month and is over around 1 pm.
