What to do while in Windsor...

Windsor may be a small town, but we offer some big things to do when visiting. Check out our list of local favorites below before planning your trip to Windsor. We guarantee you will have a great time here.

Our Amish Community

Amish Horse and BuggyWindsor is home to a large Amish community. It all began when Menno Miller of Fortuna, Missouri and Willis Herschberger of Kalona, Iowa, met in the fall of 1974, and together decided to establish a settlement near Windsor, MO. Both bought farms with some buildings in January of 1975, and Eli Mast of Jamesport bought unimproved property (no buildings) in February. Our Amish are of the old order, meaning that they don't have electricity or telephones. The Amish provide many services and offer a large selection of products in their stores and markets.
